SUNBURY, SURREY.

Overview.

The client of our Sunbury project contacted us after finding us online in their search for an internal double-door set between their entrance hallway and their kitchen, dining and entertaining space. The client had recently undergone an extension and complete refurbishment of their property. The difference from start to finish made the home unrecognisable.

The new space at the rear of the property was finished with a long run of sliding doors, spanning the entire run of the back wall. With the abundance of natural light that flows in through the doors, it made complete sense to the client to allow the natural light to continue to flow through into the entrance hall.

The decision to include our InoCross20 doors within their build, not only meant that the hallways would be well-lit but also impeccably stylish, complimenting the tone of their home.

The client was very clear on the design that they wanted for their project from the offset. They provided inspiration of their desired style. The unique design clearly takes inspiration from a traditional cross bar pattern with a modern twist applied.

The choice to dress their doors with our duel Guarded handle option provided a symmetrical and well-balanced design.

The handle to the main door is the working lever, with the latch shutting into the secondary door. The secondary door is held in place by top and bottom shoot bolts, together with the latch these hold the doors in the shut position when they're closed. The secondary handle is in place to open the secondary door once the shoot bolts have been released.

As you enter the residence, the door set is one of the first items that catches the eye, this meant that the end result had to be nothing short of flawless. Our InoCross20 door set certainly didn’t deliver anything less than shear perfection. The door set characterises the contemporary tone of the renovation, one that echos throughout the property.

The slim profile that our doors offer adds to the sleek style of the home. With the outer frame measuring just 20mm and a the bead and cross bar only 15mm the glass area is maximised, allowing natural light to flow through the doors with minimal interruption.

The use of a double door, as opposed to a single door with a fixed side screen worked superbly. It not only meant that the space could be completely opened up when needed for access such as moving large items through or family gatherings, it was also another design choice that worked fantastically with the grand and open space that the doors lead into.

The client of this project liked the grand look and feel that our duel Guarded handle offered. They decided to have a smaller lock block, as opposed to it running between the bars, giving off a more modern apparel.

The choice to finish the doors in RAL 9005 (Jet Black) worked extremely well. Black is timeless, a shade that works alongside almost any colour. The black framework compliments the black internal timber doors that the client chose for the ground floor of the property.

Clients Comments.

From start to finish Joshua James were extremely accommodating

"We absolutely love the doors. They are exactly how we wanted and expected them. A few friends and family members who have visited already have asked where we got them from."
