We recently had the pleasure of working with a talented local interior designer on this beautifully reimagined home in Reigate, Surrey. The renovation reflects an exceptional level of craftsmanship and design intent, creating a space that feels effortlessly balanced and thoughtfully resolved, where every element contributes to a calm, cohesive atmosphere.

At the heart of the transformation sits our bespoke double steel-framed door set, finished in timeless RAL 9005 black. More than a functional divide, the doors act as a refined architectural feature between the dining area and the adjoining living room, elevating the flow and character of the home.

The door set was strategically positioned to sit directly over the junction between the two different floor finishes, a subtle but highly effective design decision. Placing the doors closer to the living room side of the aperture allowed us to seamlessly bridge the transition between tile patterns, ensuring that the sightline remains clean and uninterrupted. It’s a perfect example of how thoughtful planning enhances both form and function.

Featuring two closely spaced horizontal bars and a considered contemporary bar pattern, the doors create a subtle square motif when closed. This gentle repetition adds harmony and rhythm to the space, tying both rooms together visually. To reinforce this symmetry, the doors were completed with matching lever handles, offering a balanced and intentional finish. For practicality, the set also includes an integrated lock, delivering security without disrupting the minimal aesthetic.

Beyond their internal impact, the doors also complement the aluminium glazing to the rear of the property. Their crisp black frame and refined geometry echo the language of the external doors, creating a consistent design thread from the front of the house right through to the garden. Together, these elements bring an additional sense of class, structure and contemporary elegance to the entire home.

This project was a seamless process from initial consultation through to installation, made especially rewarding by the collaborative approach between our team and the designer. The resulting door set enhances the home’s architectural presence while maintaining the tranquillity and sophistication of the newly renovated interior.
