Our client in Poole reached out to us during the renovation of her modern two-storey penthouse apartment, seeking steel-framed internal doors to elevate the contemporary design of the space. With a wrap-around balcony and expansive sea views, the apartment was finished to a high standard and called for a door solution that would reflect the same level of refinement.

Initially, we supplied a double and single door set to divide the main entertaining spaces. The chosen configuration featured three horizontal bars with a vertical bar per door leaf—offering a clean, structured look. Both sets were fitted with our dual Guarded handle option, creating balance and symmetry across the glazed apertures. The result was a seamless integration into the home’s aesthetic, which led the client to expand the scope of the project to include four additional door sets.

The second phase included a lockable entrance door with reeded glass to provide privacy from the lift area, along with doors to the bathroom and two storage cupboards. For these, the client chose opaque glass to maintain discretion while allowing light to pass through. For the cupboard doors, we suggested our Trim handle welded to the exterior only—keeping the internal view clean and in line with the apartment’s minimalist design.

To coordinate with the bronze tones of the external sliding doors, the internal doors were finished in RAL 7013 (Brown Grey), a warm, elegant shade that complemented the overall palette of the property.

Together, the six doors transformed the apartment. From clear glass to reeded and opaque finishes, the door sets brought definition to each space while preserving openness and connectivity.
