At a beautifully renovated home in Twickenham, Surrey, we were approached to deliver a bespoke solution for the basement level. The brief was to introduce a defined yet light-enhancing divide between the hallway and the games room.

The client had previously engaged another company, which conducted a site survey, but ultimately lacked confidence in their ability to execute the project to the required standard. Reassured by our experience and attention to detail, they entrusted us with the design and delivery of a more considered, high-quality solution.

We installed a single steel-framed door, integrated within a double corner configuration of fixed screens, carefully designed to work with the layout of the basement while achieving both practical and aesthetic goals. The configuration creates a clear division between the two zones, offering an element of acoustic privacy and spatial structure without sacrificing light flow.

In a sub-level environment where natural light is limited, maximising brightness was a key priority. The expansive glazed sections allow light to disperse across both areas, maintaining a visual connection and preventing the space from feeling enclosed.
