For a residential project in East Tuddenham, Norfolk, we installed four single-hinged doors that perfectly balanced the traditional charm of the property with a contemporary touch. Situated within an older home featuring timber and tiled flooring, as well as rich dark wood furniture, the client sought to introduce a more open, light-filled atmosphere while respecting the existing character of the space.

Each of the doors was designed with two horizontal bars, which allowed for larger panes of glass, maximizing natural light flow between rooms. Finished in classic black, the doors offered a subtle yet striking contrast to the rich textures of the home’s interior, creating a sophisticated and cohesive aesthetic.

To preserve a clean, minimal look, the client selected a lever latch handle on a slim backplate, ensuring that the focus remained on the expansive glazed areas. The combination of sleek, slim profiles and larger glass panes contributed to a modern, airy feel while enhancing the home’s traditional elements.

The end result was a refined and practical solution that preserved the home’s timeless character while introducing a more open and contemporary feel, enhancing the living spaces without compromising on style or functionality.
